Pieces of Me – African American Males in School Psychology Documentary

“Pieces of Me”, will provide a visual exploration into the journey of African American male school psychology students. This production will encompass several short interviews, stories and prospective of the road to become a School Psychologist. The purpose of this production is to showcase experiences of students of color by engaging in issues surrounding racism, discrimination, gender and the perceptions of African American males. A major goal of this showcase is to provide viewers with insight on the issue of being a double minority within a profession and the importance of diversity recruitment. Participants will learn how this information can be useful in addressing issues male African American School Psychology students encounter as well as assisting with multicultural competence.
