APA Apology to Communities of Color: Implications for the Future of Psychological Science

APA Apology to Communities of Color: Implications for the Future of Psychological Science

APA recently issued a formal apology to communities of color, for its role in promoting, perpetuating, and failing to challenge racism and thereby falling short on its mission to benefit society and improve lives. How can we change the ways that we conduct, report, review, and disseminate psychological science to eliminate white default and reduce systemic inequities? What steps can psychological scientists take today to promote diversity and equity in their research? This webinar is part of an APA series called “Essential Science Conversations,” where panelists and audience members can engage in an open dialogue about emerging topics in psychological science.
